FIND THE PERFECT SPOT
While taking a break, and letting your mind calm down, it's important that you have a spot where it is quiet and peaceful. This spot can be literally anywhere. Your bedroom, a place outside, a local park, etc. This place can serve as a calm area where you go to take that break.
MEDITATE
Meditation is a great way to calm down. There are multiple forms that meditation takes, including; focused meditation, mindfulness meditation, spiritual meditation, movement meditation, loving-kindness meditation, visualization meditation, and many others. While on a break, take the time to meditate to help yourself find calmness in times of stress.
AROMATHERAPY
If you want to become more serene while still doing something like answering emails or folding laundry, a diffuser can help. While doing daily tasks or work having the aroma of lavender and lemon can help calm yourself while still doing the things you need to do.
READING
Reading a book can help distract your mind from all of the overwhelming things going on around you. Find a good book, go to your calm space, and read for 20 ish minutes. Really take the time to find your inner peace and enjoy the break.
